Survey: Employee health care costs rise in southeast Michigan
A new benefits survey released today by Troy-based consulting firm McGraw Wentworth shows southeast Michigan employers saw employees' health care costs jump 8 percent this year, after making changes to their plan, up from 7 percent in 2010 and 5 percent in 2009. The 8 percent jump also is higher than the national average increase projected at 6.4 percent for 2011.
